Abstract: In this paper, a nonlocal theory based upon crystalline plasticity is used in case of a dislocation cell structure induced during plastic straining and represented by a two-phase material. By describing convective dislocation motion (which appears to be a basic feature of hardening) and storage mechanisms, under some simplifying assumptions, numerical simulations exhibit significant effects on the intragranular heterogeneization, as well as on global results like the Bauschinger effect.
