Abstract: For the purpose of developing a vibrationless forge hammer, this paper presents a principle of the vibrationless forge method based upon an active vibration control technique. Then, from a viewpoint of feedforward control method, the vibrationless forge system is analyzed, and state equations of the system are derived. Next, with a view to simulating the vibrationless forge system using an analog computer, a signal wave of an impact force actually taken in a hammering test is employed as an input to the analog computer. Moreover, the control effect for suppressing the impact vibration is discussed. Finally, in order to obtain a perspective to realize the vibrationless forge hammer, an experiment is carried out, and the effectiveness of the vibrationless forge method is verified.
