description abstractThis paper investigates the design and performance of the V-250 engine with respect to thermal loading, engine speed, pressure, airflow, ignition timing, and manifold temperature. Detailed test data are presented, and combustion chamber surface and sub-surface temperatures are determined as a function of the many operating variables.
