    Abstract: The results of advanced analysis for labyrinth seal dynamic characteristics are compared to current methods of calculating aerodynamic excitation and to test rig data published in the literature to date. The results of a shop full load test are presented and compared to predicted stability parameters. Results of the labyrinth analysis of the full-load test compressor are presented. Conclusions and recommendations are given for high pressure compressor rotor dynamics analysis with design guidelines for evaluation of new or proposed compressor designs.
