| description abstract | A method is presented to predict the peak deflections and peak transmitted forces of a viscously-damped multi-degree-of-freedom linear vibratory system that experiences time-varying excitations which sweep through system resonances. The method relies on curve fits of the modal response envelopes. The modal responses are assumed to be in phase and are transformed back to physical coordinates giving conservative predictions. | |
