    Abstract: An experimental study is reported that investigated the jump phenomenon in critical flow velocities for tube rows with different pitch-to-diameter ratios, and the excited and intrinsic instabilities for a tube row with a pitch-to-diameter ratio of 1.75. The experimental data provide additional insights into the instability phenomena of tube arrays in crossflow.
