    Basic Elements in a Fluid Mechanics Laboratory Experience: An Engineering Science Approach

    Source: Journal of Fluids Engineering:;1988:;volume( 110 ):;issue: 001::page 9

    Abstract: Experiments for a first fluid mechanics course are described. The basic concepts of pressure and velocity as the primitive variables, the control volume equations and the field equations with Reynolds number dependent properties are reinforced in these experiments. The use of such experiments, as the experimental background for future lecture instruction, is emphasized.
