description abstractA three-stage gas turbine was designed to operate at 1750-F inlet temperature with nonstrategic, low alloy components. The rotor blades are cooled with water in a closed system, and the stators are cooled with air. A practical design for the rotor was evolved and tested. Heat-transfer data correlated well with expected values.
