    Abstract: A method is described whereby the limit pressure may be determined for a radial juncture of a cylindrical vessel and a spherical vessel, assuming quasi-rigid plastic behavior. The limit pressure may for mild-steel vessels be interpreted as the pressure causing extensive local deformation at the juncture under static loading conditions.
