    Abstract: This paper is concerned with the effect of rotor eccentricity on the turbine behavior and the shaft deflection which affect the load on the foundation and on the turbine bearings. An analytical technique for determining the housing motion and foundation forces for a rotating machine having a prescribed mass center eccentricity distribution is developed and discussed.
