    Precise Measurement and Prediction of Bulk-Modulus Values for Fluids and Lubricants

    Abstract: A series of precise determinations has been conducted with the PRL Bulk Modulus Apparatus designed to measure isothermal secant bulk modulus over the range of 0 to 10,000 psig and 32 to 350 F. These measurements have been used as the basis for the development of a series of correlations between isothermal secant, isothermal tangent, and adiabatic tangent bulk-modulus values. The validity of these correlations has been demonstrated by the use of measured and calculated bulk-modulus values obtained from several literature references.
