| description abstract | An improved method of dynamic coupling is developed for use in an interactive structural analysis system proposed by the authors. The method is used to couple the values of the lowest few modes of the dynamic characteristics of structures at a high speed. Additional techniques are proposed to confine computation to those points necessary for evaluation and to couple the values under the condition that the nodal points to be connected have different coordinates from each other. Some examples of the analyses are illustrated to show the efficiency of the proposed methods. | |
