description abstractThe results from Part I of this two-part study are used to predict the performance of threaded connections, in particular API round thread connections. The effects of inelastic deformation, taper tolerance, and thread lubricant on makeup and on the stress state of such connections are examined. Important insights gained from the analysis include the variation of makeup torque and ensuing bearing pressure and leak integrity with variations in tubular material properties and geometry.
