description abstractThe relationship between stress and rate of strain for a non-Newtonian fluid with pseudoplastic behavior is assumed to be a cubic power series. Under this assumption a solution of the slider bearing without side leakage can be obtained using a perturbation technique. The solution turns out to be relatively simple in form in contrast to what results when a general power law is used.
