description abstractAssuming that a gas-particle mixture behaves like a homogeneous gas, in which the slip velocity of the particles is negligible, the various flow regimes in one-dimensional downhole flow, including the effects of gravity, compressibility and wall friction, have been investigated. It is assumed that the flow is isothermal and that the wall shear can be accounted for by an empirically determined friction factor.
