    Abstract: A linearization method is deduced in which energy is first time averaged over a basic harmonic wave, then assemble averaged over the random amplitude. The method is useful for solving nonlinear narrowband vibration problems of stochastic dynamics in multidegree‐of‐freedom (MDF) systems. Numerical calculation samples are given to show the simplicity, effectiveness, and accuracy of the present method.
