| description abstract | The effect of using an isotropic soil plasticity model to analyze the behavior of a sheet-pile wall supporting an anisotropic cohesive soil is investigated numerically using the finite element method. The stress-strain behavior of the soil is represented by an anisotropic and an isotropic constitutive models and the predicted behavior in each of these cases is compared.
