    Abstract: Tire derived aggregate (TDA) is a recycled fill material produced by cutting scrap tires into pieces ranging in size from 12 to 305 mm. For the last two decades, TDA has been successfully used in various projects such as embankments, bridge abutments, subgrade insulation for roads, vibration mitigation for rail lines, and landfill daily cover.
