    Abstract: Super-large hyperbolic cooling towers (SCT) are typical cylinder-like structures and feature spatial, three-dimensional (3D), circumferential motion characteristics, wherein the non-Gaussian probability distribution characteristics of local fluctuating wind pressures involved with vortex shedding or reattachment phenomena are excessive compared with the traditional wind load theoretical system based on Gaussian assumption.
