    Abstract: Seven cycles of operation in relation to the filling ratio, mixed liquor suspended solids (MLSS), hydraulic retention time (HRT), and temperature were studied in a pilot-scale experimental plant of a hybrid moving bed biofilm reactor-membrane bioreactor (MBBR-MBR). The aim of the present research was to study the influence of the operative variables on the behavior of a hybrid MBBR-MBR in relation to organic matter removal and nitrification activity through the kinetic constants for the autotrophic and heterotrophic biomass.
