description abstractA three-span-continuous girder bridge has to be integrally lifted by 3 m to meet increased navigation capacity. This paper mainly introduces the lifting system mechanism, construction process, and bridge jack-up monitoring. To determine the control threshold value during the construction process and to ensure the safety of successive lifting, a three-dimensional finite-element model is established to analyze the strain and stress distribution characteristics of the bridge. With guidance from the numerical analyses, the three-continuous-span girder bridge is lifted successfully. The design and construction methods adopted in this project provide a useful reference for similar engineering projects.
