Abstract: Based a brief introduction to Granular Computing on overview, relative concepts, basic idea, and main technical points, as well as the analysis to the adaptability of Granular Computing towards transport data processing, the Granular Computing technology was introduced to the area of transport data processing and a new technology, named as Transport Information Granular Computing, was put forward. Then the conceptual model and technical architecture of this technology were introduced from the point of view of theoretical methodology, support environment and application technology, and the theoretical method was broaden by integrating traditional mathematical methods, knowledge-mining based methods, and non-quantitative methods.
