    Abstract: Pin-connected joints are characteristic of contacted bearing loads. With no consideration of the contact, the disadvantage for pin-connected joints to bear loads will be overestimated. Based on the Winkler elastic foundation model, a new simplified model is proposed and a formula is derived to calculate the moment in the middle of span. It shows that the moment in the middle of span calculated according to the code JTJ025-86 should be reduced by coefficient
