Study from Truck Overload and Oversize to Excessive Market Entry and Administration Guideline for Transportation Industry

Abstract

Undoubtedly, overload and oversize transport carried by commercial vehicles is an outstanding and serious problem in current road transportation industry. However, only a correct administration guideline for road transportation industry could be the fundamental assurance for comprehensive and healthy development of the industry. Taking the typical case studies as examples, taking the basic theories of road transportation as guidance, and taking development history in developed countries as references, this paper demonstrates that the essential cause of overload and oversize transportation carried by commercial vehicles shall attribute to excessive entry to transportation market, which shall need proper administration guidelines for transportation industry. Considering the development stage of road transportation industry in China, adequate economy regulation should be the administration guideline for future certain period.
