Abstract: The redistribution behavior of internal plastic force and the moment modification limited value of tubular hollow continuous slab were studied through experiment and theoretical analysis. First, loading experiment of four large scale two-span continuous slab was performed to measure the length and the rotational capacity of plastic hinge of the tubular hollow continuous slab in the plastic stage. Then, based on the experiment, the moment modification limited value of the tubular hollow continuous slab that meets the requirement of the bearing capacity under a given load was analyzed. It shows from the experiment that the tubular hollow continuous slab can develop full internal force redistribution under the moment modification values of 16.5%–30.7%. And the theoretical calculation shows that the moment modification limited value of tubular hollow slab will be 35.65%. The research shows that the tubular hollow continuous slab has good performance of redistribution of internal plastic force and its moment modification limited value is higher.
