Abstract: Safety in the workplace is a key ingredient to success on all construction projects. Zero tolerance for injuries requires a systematic approach for continuous improvement. This paper explains the safety program that has been used at a large petrochemical plant to increase safety performance. The obstacles and hurdles are explained and the different approaches are detailed. The goal remained the same, continuous improvement in safety performance toward zero injuries.
