Source: Practice Periodical on Structural Design and Construction:;1996:;Volume ( 001 ):;issue: 001
    Author:

Publisher: American Society of Civil Engineers
Abstract: Writing clearly is never as easy as speaking plainly. Writers, especially in scientific circles, often inflate their language in print. This takes away from the message at hand. This paper offers a few simple suggestions, based in common sense, toward clearer writing. When writing is to the point and free of vague, inflated, or confusing words, the writer's meaning is best communicated.
