description abstractIt is my pleasure to announce the winner of the 2024 ASME Journal of Vibration and Acoustics Best Paper Award. Based on a selection process that included nominations open to all Associate Editors on the Editorial Board, followed by careful consideration and voting open to the same, the winner of the award was determined to be Xuan-Hong Chen and Meng-Hsuan Tien, National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan, for their paper entitled “Method for Constructing a Compact Component Mode Synthesis Model for Analyzing Nonlinear Normal Modes of Structures With Localized Nonlinearities,” ASME J. Vib. Acoust., 2024, 146(6), p. 061103, doi:10.1115/1.4067107. The authors will receive a $1500 honorarium and a plaque.
