description abstract | New materials are investigated with the development of technology. Therefore, gathering materials of different qualities is necessary to achieve such a goal. Two or more materials formed by combining materials, called composite, are used in many areas of life. In this study, the internal failure pressure of glass fiber composite pipes reinforced with aramid fiber, which is not documented in the literature, was investigated. In this direction, the composite pipes produced with different variations were subjected to testing. The prepared composite pipes consisted of four layers. First, the test was carried out for pipes where all the layers were made of glass fiber. Second, it was repeated for pipes with one of the intermediate layers of aramid fibers. In the next experiment, the layer location of the aramid fiber was changed. Finally, composite pipes with two intermediate layers of aramid fiber were tested. Damage pressures of composite pipes produced by four different types were compared. As a result, the lowest damage pressure was obtained from samples with glass fiber while the highest amount was obtained from two layers of glass fiber and two layers of aramid fiber. | |
