| description abstract | New pen-based development tools have simplified the difficult and expensive task of programming early pen-based applications. This technical note describes the design and development of a pen-based application using one of these development tools, the Padbase Software Development Kit (SDK). Padbase was used for the development of an automated bridge inspection system to take full advantage of the capabilities of pen-based computing. These capabilities include the ability to select options from scrollable lists, make handwritten entries, and store field sketches. | |
