Abstract: Construction projects have become complex; therefore, their hierarchy is becoming increasingly complicated, and the level of disputes is more serious. The success of construction projects depends on the coordinated efforts of team members in early settlement of the disputes. The issue of disputes is critical; thus, achieving a satisfactory solution in projects is essential. This study aims to identify the types of bias, motives for bias, and bias-minimizing approaches in construction project disputes resolution in the Gaza Strip. The study adopted the descriptive-analytical approach with questionnaire as a tool. The findings show the existence of bias in resolution of dispute in a construction project. Early detection allows management to intervene and steer the construction project dispute resolution team back to rational courses. Construction professionals of the likelihood are practicing biased behaviors in construction project dispute resolution. This study suggests optimizing construction project dispute resolution procedures to diminish the chance of bias occurring. The arbitrator should take greater responsibility for the negative outcomes of the resolution.
