| description abstract | This paper proposes a scheme to study dynamic responses of viscoelastic asphalt pavement under vehicle–bridge interaction. It is of great importance to accurately describe tire–pavement contact for dynamic behavior and damage prediction of pavement. The tire model consists of hyperelastic rubber and linear-elastic hub, and the viscoelastic pavement is supported by a three-span continuous steel-concrete bridge. Then, the dynamic coupling axial force considering vehicle–bridge interaction is applied to the tire connecting shaft, and the tire–pavement interaction system is established. In addition, the tire–pavement finite-element (FE) model is validated by a field test in Qugang Expressway, China. Finally, through parametric analysis, the effects of tire loads, pavement constitutive models, vehicle speeds, weights, and road roughness on the dynamic behavior of flexible pavement are obtained. Also, stress distribution rules of the viscoelastic pavement are discussed. | |
