Abstract: Sasobit and zeolite warm additives have been used by many to reduce the mixing and compaction temperature of asphalt mixes. Risk of water damage and less resistance to permanent deformation as a result of less binder oxidation is a primary concern associated with roadways paved by warm-mix asphalt. This study evaluates Marshall stability, Marshall quotient, compressive strength, index of retained strength, resilient modulus (MR), stiffness modulus (SM), flexural modulus (FM), and rutting resistance (RR) testing of styrene-butadiene-styrene/asphalt mixtures (SBSAMs) containing sasobit and zeolite additives. In addition, a comparison table was prepared to select the type of SBSAMs for any field application. The test results of SBSAMs made with zeolite show slightly better performance than SBSAMs and sasobit-SBSAMs in terms of rutting, moisture, and temperature susceptibility.
