Abstract: Results are presented of an extensive theoretical investigation aimed at evaluating the effect of changing the refractive index of the aerosol substance from 1.5?0i to 1.5?0.01i on the solar energy absorbed, reflected and transmitted by cloudless, plane-parallel, nonhomogeneous atmospheric models.
