    Abstract: This paper describes a pilot study carded out to determine the feasibility of using the heat and mixing properties of jet engine exhaust to evaporate fog from an aircraft runway. It was found that visibilities can be raised from less than 1000 ft to well over a half mile in less than 5 min.
