Abstract: Electric properties of ice fog crystals were studied using uniform and nonuniform electric-fields. It was observed that natural and artificial ice fog crystals had no significant net charge. An upper bound for the net charges was derived. The observations are discussed in relation to the induced dipole moment and Weyl's model of ice crystals.
