| description abstract | Results of a multiple exposure averaging technique which allows one to summarize satellite cloud photographs for monthly and half-monthly periods are presented in the form of a cloud atlas of the entire earth for the year 1967. The cloud atlas makes it possible to observe many climatological features of the cloud field and their changes with time which are not readily apparent on the individual satellite pictures. Some of the major features are discussed briefly. | |
