Abstract: Several approximate formulae for evaluation of the temperature at the lifted condensation level are developed. Calculations made with these simple algebraic equations are compared with results obtained from formulations which require iterative techniques for their solution. One such expression yields results accurate to within 0.05C for dew-point depressions of 25C or less.
