    Abstract: A theoretical approximation for condensation temperature is obtained. The approximate solution lies within 0.01 K of the corresponding iterative solution for dewpoint depressions up to 40 K. This approximation error is less than the uncertainty resulting from use of an empirical formula for saturation vapor pressure and the assumption that cp is constant for dry air.
