| description abstract | The authors compare the performance of broadband radiometers with spectrally dispersed measurements. Spectrally dispersed radiometers may be more accurately calibrated than is possible with broadband filter instruments. They also have a larger information content than have filter measurements. Accuracy and information content are two important requirements for climate observations. | |
