description abstractFor the second consecutive summer, the American Meteorological Society (AMS) conducted four teacher and faculty enhancement workshops in the atmospheric sciences. Project ATMOSPHERE, the K?12 educational initiative of the AMS, conducted two workshops for teachers in the Atmospheric Education Resource Agent program and another workshop for master precollege teachers from across the nation. The AMS, with support from the National Science foundation, held a fourth workshop for undergraduate faculty members from two- and four-year colleges who teach weather-related topics. These 1995 workshops provided educators at all levels with learning experiences on a variety of atmospheric topics and an introduction to operational and research activities of the meteorological community.
