| description abstract | A new data acquisition system designed for use in meteorological research on small aircraft is described. Compact in size, weight, and power, the system uses a 16-bit microcomputer and 57 000 bytes of memory and provides improved real-time computations, flexibility, and ease of operation and maintenance for machines of this class. Modular hardware and extensive use of a high-level language make adapting the system to other aircraft or nonaircraft environments straight-forward. | |
