Abstract: In stationary solutions of the equations for nucleation, coagulation and sedimentation, the concentration of large particles falls off more strongly than any power of particle size. The tails of stationary size distributions established by these processes are thus of Marshall-Palmer (exponential), rather than Junge (power law), type.
