Abstract: A method is described by which the coalescence process can be examined for different drop and droplet sizes. Preliminary experiments show that factors such as the velocity of collision, the angle of impact, the surface tension, and the electric charges can affect coalescence. It is seen that the coalescence efficiency may be considerably less than unity.
