Abstract: In recent years, new wind data from the region of 30 to 100 km have become available. By using these new data, cross sections of zonal wind have been constructed and compared with the existing model of the mesophere and lower ionosphere. Temperatures at 60N were then computed from the zonal winds and, when compared with observations at Ft. Churchill, showed good agreement during the summer months and large deviations during the winter.
