Abstract: An airborne outboard aspirating probe is described which counts and sizes cloud droplets in the range two to sixty microns diameter, at rates up to ten thousand per second, by sensing artificial electrostatic charges induced on the particles in proportion to their sizes. Sample observed distributions for a limited number of cloud types are presented.
