Abstract: Wind-speed profiles are determined for a 114-m layer and two continuous parts of that layer through the use of data from the 125-m meteorological tower at Brookhaven National Laboratory. Further analysis of the data indicates that some variations in the profiles can be attributed to differences in wind speed and direction. A comparison of results obtained through the use of the power law and the logarithmic law shows that the former more accurately fits the data. The profiles determined in this study are found to be in agreement with those found in an independent investigation made at Brookhaven. The results of this investigation are also compared with those obtained at ten other locations.
