Abstract: Studies have been made of the adsorption of water vapor on photolyzed silver iodide. Adsorption isotherms, run at +20 and ?20C, have been compared with the isotherms of water vapor on unphotolyzed silver iodide at the same temperatures. It has been found that, while water on silver iodide gives a type III isotherm characterized by extremely high multilayer adsorption, as the silver iodide is photolyzed and its nucleating ability destroyed, water adsorption is greatly diminished.
