Abstract: Summer showers along the southeast Florida coast frequently occur in organized patterns. These patterns are believed to be controlled by the areas of convergence created by interaction of the general wind and local winds. Location of these areas with respect to the coastline is shown to vary with time of day and with direction and speed of the general wind. This relationship aids in forecasting time and place of showers within 25 miles of the southeast Florida coast.
