Abstract: An analytical solution for the evolution of the planform for a beach fill with tapered ends is presented, and solution charts are given for two cases of taper‐section length to straight fill‐section length. An analytical solution for the proportion of fill remaining after a given time is also presented as a function of a dimensionless time constant.
